Most full spectrum sauna lists just repeat the label. We broke down the specs on 22 full spectrum infrared cabins instead, and the “full spectrum” part ranges from two 500W heaters in a Clearlight to a single LED panel in a Health Mate.

Here is the short answer. The Clearlight Sanctuary 2 is the best full spectrum infrared sauna for most buyers: around $7,299 at a dealer, 120V 20A wiring, and the only premium warranty with no year cap and 7 years of labor. The Sun Home Eclipse scores highest on our rubric if you want red light and 165F heat. The Sunlighten Amplify II is the value pick at around $5,799 on sale.

How We Ranked Them

We compared every full spectrum model in our database line by line and scored each one with our scoring rubric: heat performance (25%), build (20%), warranty (15%), electrical ease (10%), EMF data (10%), owner feedback (10%) and value (10%). Missing data scores 4. Then we picked the best fit for each kind of buyer, so the highest raw score is not always first. The method is on our how we research page.

Before you shop, know what “full spectrum” means at each brand. Some cabins add real heaters for near and mid infrared. Others add a halogen lamp or an LED panel. Our infrared sauna guide explains the bands, and full spectrum vs far infrared covers whether the upgrade is worth paying for.

Clearlight Sanctuary 2: Best Overall

Buy this if you want full spectrum heat on a 120V circuit and plan to keep the sauna for many years. The warranty fine print shows Clearlight covers the indoor cabin, heaters, controls, wiring and audio for life, plus 7 years of labor (Clearlight warranty). No other full spectrum brand we compared offers both.

Key specs:

  • Four carbon-ceramic far infrared heaters plus two 500W full spectrum heaters on the front glass, 2,250W
  • Heaters on the back and side walls, under the bench, at calf level and in the floor
  • 120V 20A circuit, NEMA 5-20P plug; adding the door heater or red light unit raises it to 120V 30A
  • 52 x 48 x 77 in, basswood or mahogany
  • Around $7,299 basswood or $7,699 mahogany at an authorized dealer

Owners give Clearlight 4.4 from 1,688 reviews on Trustpilot, praising build quality and fast heat-up. Complaints center on slow repairs and hard-to-get parts, and the company replied to only 6% of negative reviews.

Pros

  • Strongest written warranty in the category
  • Publishes its full spectrum heater wattage (two 500W heaters), which most rivals do not

Cons

  • About $1,500 more than a Sunlighten Amplify II
  • No published max temperature

Why not the Eclipse at #1? It scores higher, 8.6 to 8.4, but costs about $3,300 more, needs a rare 120V 30A locking outlet, and its warranty ends at 7 years with no labor after 90 days. Read our full Clearlight review.

Sun Home Eclipse 2-Person: Best With Red Light

Buy this if you want one of the hottest indoor full spectrum cabins we found, with red light built in and app control. It earns the top infrared score on our rubric, helped by a Japanese cedar interior, a 165F rating and per-model owner ratings.

Key specs:

  • 6 far infrared heaters plus 2 full spectrum heaters and integrated red light
  • Rated to 165F (manufacturer rating)
  • Dedicated 120V 30A circuit with a locking NEMA L5-30 outlet, 2,820W
  • 51.5 x 47.2 x 76.7 in, about 600 lb
  • Around $10,599

Owners rate it 4.8 from 42 reviews on Sun Home’s site. Those reviews are invited. Sun Home links a Vitatech EMF summary that shows 0.6 to 4.0 mG at 1 foot from one heater, higher than its “<0.5 mG” headline (summary).

Pros

  • 165F rating, red light and app control in one cabin
  • 90 days of free parts, labor and shipping on orders from March 2, 2026

Cons

  • Needs a 120V 30A locking outlet that most homes lack
  • “Limited lifetime” means up to 7 years; Eclipse orders on or before March 1, 2026 got only 1 year

Sun Home Equinox 2-Person: Best for Published Test Data

Buy this if you want full spectrum on a standard dedicated 120V 20A circuit from a brand that publishes EMF and VOC test summaries. It scores 7.9.

Key specs:

  • 4 far infrared heaters plus 2 full spectrum heaters (heater material not stated)
  • 1,880W, 120V 20A, NEMA 5-20 plug
  • 50.9 x 45.9 x 77.7 in, kiln-dried eucalyptus
  • Rated to 165F
  • Around $6,099 on sale (regular $6,799)

Owners rate it 4.8 from 121 reviews on Sun Home’s site. Its published dimensions and wattage match the Sunlighten Amplify II, and its warranty wording matches Sunlighten’s word for word. Neither company says one builds for the other.

Pros

  • Largest per-model owner rating count of any full spectrum cabin we rated
  • Rated to 165F on a 20A circuit

Cons

  • Seven-year, parts-only warranty with no labor
  • About $300 more than the Amplify II it matches on paper

Health Mate Enrich 2: Best on a Standard Outlet

Buy this if you do not want to add a circuit. The Enrich 2 plugs into a regular 120V 15A outlet (NEMA 5-15P, 1,780W), and Health Mate says no electrician is needed. It also carries the longest labor coverage we found.

Key specs:

  • Tecoloy dual-wave heaters plus far infrared floor heaters
  • Near infrared from a 96-diode LED panel
  • 47.25 x 43.5 x 77 in, Indonesian mahogany
  • Lifetime on the heater core, harness and wiring; 10 years on cabin, controls, lighting and audio; 10 years of labor (Health Mate warranty)
  • Around $5,300

We found no owner ratings we could verify for the Enrich 2. Health Mate links an EMF document from the product page, which we have not confirmed is a third-party lab report.

Pros

  • Standard outlet, no new circuit
  • 10 years of labor beats every other brand here

Cons

  • Near infrared is an LED panel, not a heater
  • Heater material, weight and max temperature are not published

The Inspire 2 adds app control for about $2,100 more with a nearly identical footprint and wattage. We would buy the Enrich 2.

Sunlighten Amplify II: Best Value

Buy this if you want a big-name full spectrum cabin under $6,000. At around $5,799 on sale (regular $6,899), it is about $1,500 cheaper than a Sanctuary 2.

Key specs:

  • 5 SoloCarbon far infrared heaters plus 3 halogen full spectrum heaters
  • 1,880W on a dedicated 120V 20A circuit per the store (Sunlighten’s BIMobject listing says 2,270W; confirm with Sunlighten)
  • 50.9 x 45.9 x 77.7 in, eucalyptus or basswood
  • 7 years on cabinetry and heaters, 3 years on controls, parts only (Sunlighten warranty)

Sunlighten holds 4.6 from 4,080 reviews on Trustpilot and replies to 97% of negatives. Owners praise sales staff and build, and complain about power box failures and reaching support for repairs.

Pros

  • Lowest price of any big-brand 2-person full spectrum cabin
  • Strong owner rating at the brand level

Cons

  • “Lifetime” is defined as 7 years, with no labor and buyer-paid freight
  • $499 restocking fee, and no returns once opened

Sun Home Luminar 2-Person: Best Outdoor

Key specs:

  • 3 far infrared plus 6 full spectrum heaters, 4,800W
  • Dedicated 240V 20A GFCI circuit with a locking NEMA L6-20 outlet
  • 57 x 51.5 x 82.7 in, Canadian red cedar, 970 lb
  • Around $10,999 on sale (regular $11,599)

Pros

  • 170F rating and the most full spectrum heaters of any pick
  • Using the included cover is optional under the warranty

Cons

  • Exterior cabin warranty is only 3 years
  • Needs a 240V circuit; use a licensed electrician and check whether a permit is required

JNH Tosi 2-Person: Best Cedar Under $5,500

Buy this if you want a cedar full spectrum cabin on a regular outlet for the lowest price here, and you can accept a short warranty. JNH’s FAQ says a standard 120V 15A outlet is enough for its 1 to 2 person models.

Key specs:

  • 7 carbon far and mid infrared panels plus 5 LED near infrared emitters, 1,540W
  • Canadian red cedar (the page’s comparison table also says hemlock, an inconsistency)
  • Rated to 140F
  • Around $5,199

The weak spot is coverage: 2 years on heaters and electrical, 1 year on cabinetry and wood, parts only (JNH warranty). Extensions to 3 years (+$329) or 5 years (+$599) are sold separately. JNH’s Trustpilot page is unclaimed with no reviews. It claims an average of 0.32 mG for EMF but links no report.

Pros

  • Cedar build and a standard outlet at around $5,199
  • Ships in 1 business day per the product page

Cons

  • 2-year heater and 1-year wood warranty
  • No verified owner ratings

Also Considered

  • Sunlighten mPulse Believe (score 7.4): separately controlled near, mid and far zones plus red light, but quote only (around $8,499 to $8,699 by third-party listings such as Outliyr) with no published electrical spec on the product page.
  • Clearlight Sanctuary 3 (8.2): the pick for three people or one person who wants to lie down, with a 66 inch bench. Needs 240V; around $7,899 at a dealer.
  • HigherDOSE 2-Person (6.6): around $7,999 plus $899 curbside delivery, with a 5-year warranty and no published EMF data. HigherDOSE claims up to 176F. Clearlight’s Sanctuary 2 costs less with a far longer warranty.
  • Dynamic Santiago FS, Maxxus S-Line FS and Golden Designs Reserve (6.8 to 7.5): all Golden Designs brands, with 120V 15A wiring but only 1 year on the wood structure. Their brand-store list prices ($5,999 to $7,999) run far above retail. Costco sells a 3-person version of the S-Line under the Dynamic name as the Evora (Costco).
  • Enlighten Sierra 2 (7.8): a cedar full spectrum cabin with a 7-year standard warranty, but we are not recommending it. Enlighten holds 1.9 from 29 reviews on Trustpilot, 80% one-star, with complaints about months-long delivery delays, unpaid refunds and refused warranty repairs.

How to Choose a Full Spectrum Sauna

1. Check the near infrared source. Two 500W heaters, three halogen lamps and one LED panel are not the same thing. Ask what the source is and how many watts it draws.

2. Match the wiring before you buy. Standard outlet (Health Mate Enrich 2, Clearlight Sanctuary 1, JNH Tosi), dedicated 120V 20A (Amplify II, Equinox, Sanctuary 2), 120V 30A (Eclipse) or 240V (Luminar, Sanctuary 3). Use a licensed electrician for any new circuit, and ask whether a permit is needed.

3. Read “lifetime” carefully. Sunlighten and Sun Home define it as 7 years, parts only. Clearlight’s indoor lifetime has no cap, and Health Mate pays 10 years of labor.

4. Weigh the EMF evidence. None of these full spectrum picks publishes a seat-level test of a current cabin. See our low EMF sauna guide for the brands that do better.

5. Be realistic about benefits. A 2009 review found manufacturers’ health claims for far infrared saunas “poorly supported” (Beever 2009), and we found no study showing that near infrared or red light in a sauna adds benefits. Buy full spectrum because you like it.

If you want to compare these with far infrared and traditional cabins, our best indoor saunas roundup covers both.

Talk to your doctor before using a sauna if you have a heart condition, high or low blood pressure, are pregnant, or take medications. Never use a sauna alone or after drinking alcohol. Harvard Health advises no more than 15 to 20 minutes per session, and Cleveland Clinic suggests beginners start with about 5. Cabins rated to 165F or 170F run well above the 110F to 135F typical of infrared, so build up slowly.
